PRESENT PERFECT CONTINUOUS TENSE

PRESENT PERFECT CONTINUOUS TENSE ialah bentuk waktu yang digunakan untuk menyatakan suatu perbuatan atau peristiwa masa lampau dan berlangsung sampai sekarang dan kejadian itu mungkin masih dilakukan di masa mendatang. Misalnya ditandai dengan kata all week, all day, since, for ten years, etc.

Pattern:

(+) S+ HAS/ HAVE+ BEEN+ V1-ING

(-) S+ HAS/ HAVE+ NOT+ BEEN+ V1-ING

(?) HAS/ HAVE+ S+ BEEN+ V1-ING?

Example:

(+) she has been working here for three hours

(-) she has not been working here for three hours

(?) has she been working here for three hours?

(+) they have been training English for month

(-) they have not been training English for month

(?) have they been training English for month?

(+) you have been looking for me since yesterday

(-) you have not been looking for me since yesterday

Time Signal:

For (selama); since (sejak); long (lamanya); how long (berapa lamanya); the whole day (sepanjang hari); all afternoon (sepanjang sore); for over two years (lebih dari dua tahun)
