PAST PERFECT TENSE

PAST PERFECT TENSE ialah bentuk waktu yang digunakan untuk menyatakan suatu kejadian (perbuatan) dimasa lampau yang sempurna selesai sebelum perbuatan lain dilakukan.

(-) S+ HAD+ NOT+ BEEN+ A. N. A

Verbal Form:

(+) S+ HAD+ V3

(-) S+ HAD+ NOT+ V3

Examples:

(+) she had been at school

(-) she had not been at school

(?) had she been at school?

Time Signal:

Before(sebelum)..  past perfect- before- past tense

After(setelah).. past tense- after- past perfect

Until(hingga).. past tense- until- past perfect

As soon as(secepat).. past tense- as soon as- past perfect
