PRESENT FUTURE TENSE

PRESENT FUTURE TENSE ialah bentuk waktu yang digunakan untuk menyatakan suatu perbuatan atau peristiwa yang akan dikerjakan di waktu mendatang.

Pattern:

·         Nominal Form:

(+) S+ WILL/ SHALL+ BE+ A. N. A (adjective, noun, adverb)

(-) S+ WILL/ SHALL+ NOT+ BE+ A. N. A

(?) WILL/ SHALL+ S+ BE+ A. N. A?

·         Verbal Form:

(+) S+ WILL/SHALL+ V1+ O/C

(-) S+ WILL/ SHALL+ NOT+ V1+ O/C

(?) WILL/ SHALL+  S+ V1+ O/C?

·         Be+ going to:

(+) S+  Tobe (is, am, are)+ going to+ V1

(-) S+  Tobe (is, am, are)+ Not+ going to+ V1

(?)  Tobe (is, am, are)+S + going to+ V1?

Examples:

(+) she will be at home tomorrow

(-) she will not be at home tomorrow

(?) will she at home tomorrow?

(+) we shall dig a well next day

(-) we shall not dig a well next day

(?) shall we dig a well next day?

(+) I am going to go to Bandung next month

(-) I am not gong to go to Bandung next month

Penggunaan Simple Future Tense:

Ø  Digunakan untuk menyatakan suatu perbuatan atau peristiwa yang akan dilakukan pada waktu yang akan dating. Contoh: I shall go to semarang next month

Ø  Digunakan untuk menunjukkan syarat. Contoh: mr. George will give you a good camera if you go with him

Ø  Digunakan untuk memohon kepada seseorang untuk melakukan sesuatu. Contoh: will  you please help me to post this letter?

Ø  Digunakan untuk membuat suatu janji pada waktu yang akan dating. Contoh: she will help you by three this afternoon

Time Signal:

This afternoon(nanti sore); to night(nanti malam); tomorrow(besok); if(jika); after(sesudah); before(sebelum); till(hingga); next week(minggu depan); as soon as(secepat mungkin); etc.
